BETHANY ESTHETICS

BETHANY ESTHETICS

Your skin is only as good as your routine at home. Only getting facials periodically is like going to the gym periodically and expecting to see results. Facials are an amazing self care treat and are incredibly beneficial if you’re looking to make major improvement in your skin. However, what you’re doing every day to your skin is going to make the greatest impact!

One of my favorite jobs as an esthetician is educating you on proper at-home care. I'm going to share all of my favorite tips, tricks, and advice for you so you can achieve all of your skin goals.

Treatment Product Advice:

  1. Exfoliation is crucial to maintaining smooth, glowing, healthy, and clean skin.

    • You can use a specific exfoliant treatment 1-2 times per week and/or a treatment cleanser with exfoliating acids (AHA’s/BHA’s) that will give you gentle exfoliation when you use it once daily.

    • I don’t recommend using ONLY a scrub as an exfoliation method. Exfoliating acids work better overall and are less physically rough on your skin. Consult with me about which type of exfoliants would work best for your skin and your concerns.

    • There IS such thing as too much exfoliation!

  2. Serums are the holy grail of skincare.

    • Serums have a small molecular structure, easily absorbing into the skin and treating/targeting specific concerns.

    • Serums can treat acne, pigmentation, wrinkles, scarring, or just have the purpose of packing your skin with antioxidants/nutrients for that glow from within look.

    • Glymed+ has TWENTY-SIX Serums for good reason! Whatever you need to treat, they have something for it. Depending on your goals, we will determine which type of serum you should be using.

  3. If you’re age 20+ and haven’t started using a high quality Eye Cream, I highly suggest you start now.

    • The eye area is extremely fragile and delicate. It’s prone to damage and signs of aging more than any other area on the body. This area NEEDS nourishment.

  4. You MUST nourish and hydrate your skin equally as much as you treat it. EVEN IF YOU’RE OILY.

    • Oily Hydrated...Stripping your skin of all its oils and not hydrating properly will cause your skin to produce more oil, which will lead to more congestion and breakouts.
